Today I was with the preschoolers and I learned a lot in a few hours...
One girl told me she got a BB gun for Christmas. I'm not sure how accurate this is considering she's 3 and it's November.
Another girl raised her hand just so she could inform me that "sometimes my daddy hides money in his underwear". And she was cracking up hysterically!
At recess a child came up to me laughing and telling me they found a stink bug. As I look behind her a group of the children were gathered around as one of the boys was putting it down his shirt. They also found a worm.
Later I asked a little girl why she had a stamp on her arm. As she looks up at me with her big, adorable, eyes she replies in her sassiest voice "uhh, she [her teacher] just gave it to me, I don't know WHY?!" This moment right there told me why she is friends with my niece.
Overall, It was a very productive day.
